What is a fanlisting?
"A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created
by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join." - Quoted from TheFanlistings.org
And this fanlisting is for...?
This fanlisting is dedicated to Key Club, an international organization sponsored by the Kiwanis International (the adult
group of Key Club), and led by students in many schools. Key Club is basically a community service program, where
students can particpate in numerous projects that serve in helping their society--peers, friends, families, and so many
more.
The official website for Key Club (international) can be found here: http://www.keyclub.org/
Origin of fanlisting name...
The fanlisting name, "Caring...our way of life," is the (official) motto for Key Club. Feel free to take a look for
yourself: [www]
Fits, don't you think? *wink*
My experience with Key Club
I never really knew Key Club existed till I entered high school. It was my sister who introduced me to the club.
She was very keen to joining, whereas I could've cared less. But my dad pretty much gave me no choice but to join
with her; saying it was good for me. Back then, as a freshman, I was severely pissed and reluctant to being in Key
Club, considering it was my sister who was originally interested in them, not me. But, now, I've been with Key Club
for nearly 3 years--and I love it more than ever! Although this might sound cliche, Key Club has taught me a lot and
given me the opportunity to "giving back to my community." I think it's helped me to be more caring about those
around me, and less self-centered. It's also given me the chance to work with a variety of people/age groups: adults,
children, teenagers, mentally/physically challenged, etc. I feel that it has also helped me to broaden my view on
life and everything out there in the world.
