What is a fanlisting?
"A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join." - Quoted from TheFanlistings.org
And the point of this fanlisting is...
This fanlisting is for the love/like of cPanel. cPanel is a useful management system for those who own private domains, basically. Many hosting companies, if not all, provide cPanel for their clients. You can control a range of things with cPanel -- hotlink protection, subdomains, FTP accounts, email, MySQL databases, scripts, IP banning, etc.

You can learn a lot more about the wonderful cPanel from the developers, themselves: cPanel.NET.

Who's in control?
This fanlisting is titled "In Control," solely because the cPanel does give you a great amount of control over your private domain. You can create subdomains, create FTP accounts, create MySQL databases, create emails under your domain, monitor your bandwidth, upload files through a File Manager...and MUCH more.

Coincidentially, the original owner of this cPanel fanlisting, Krissy, had first titled this fanlisting as "Under Control." Which I did not realize since it totally slipped my mind, what she had named the fanlisting. Nonetheless, I hope Krissy doesn't mind if I re-named the fanlisting in similarity with her own, thought-up title. Maybe it had something to do with that, "Great minds think alike," idea. (wink, wink)

My opinion of cPanel...
Being hosted at E-starr.com, my "management system" for my account is cPanel. And well...what can I say? I love it. It's got so many helpful functions and controls that makes handling my account very easy. I can check how much disk space I've used up, how much monthly bandwidth I've used up, how many subdomains I have, how many FTP accounts I have. I can add/remove subdomains, create FTP accounts, upload files through a File Manager, ban IPs, enable hotlink protection, install certain scripts with the added Fantastico...and the list of things you can do just goes on! I know I've only ever used cPanel and never tried similar applications like it...but cPanel just really takes my pick.
